Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Abhyangam.

Our Abhyangam treatments typically last 60 to 90 minutes depending on your needs. We allow time for consultation and gentle post-massage relaxation to ensure full therapeutic benefit and a comfortable transition back to daily activities.

Pregnancy requires modifications; we recommend avoiding full Abhyangam in the first trimester and adapting pressure and oils later with your doctor's approval. Breastfeeding clients are usually safe—consult our therapist so we can tailor the treatment for comfort.

We use warmed sesame or coconut base oils infused with Ayurvedic herbs like ashwagandha, brahmi, or neem depending on your dosha and skin needs. Oils are organic where possible and blended to maximize nourishment and relaxation.

Arrive slightly hydrated, avoid heavy meals immediately beforehand, and wear comfortable loose clothing. Let us know about allergies, medications, or medical conditions. We provide towels and a private space; please arrive a few minutes early for consultation.

Abhyangam can promote deeper, more restful sleep by reducing stress and easing respiratory tension, potentially improving mild apnea or snoring. It is not a substitute for medical care—consult your physician for diagnosis and combine therapies as advised.

For maintenance and relaxation, once every one to two weeks is ideal. For stress relief, skin repair, or sleep issues, begin with weekly sessions for 4–6 weeks, then taper based on improvements and your therapist's recommendation.
